Senator Manar Visits PCH

Senator Andy Manar visited Pana Community Hospital this week as part of his district-wide health care tour. He spoke with hospital representatives including President and CEO, Trina Casner; Chief Financial Officer, James Moon; PCH Board Chairman, Carol Schramm, and board member Dave Slater. Manar was able to discuss issues that face rural health care providers and discussed ways his office could address important regulatory issues. Manar was also shown the detailed plans of Pana Community Hospital’s building project and took a tour of the hospital as well as the construction site where work on the addition is underway. Casner stated: “We’re thankful Senator Manar took the time to visit Pana Community Hospital and appreciate his support of rural health care providers. It is important to be able to sit down with our elected officials to voice concerns and struggles we face in providing quality health care in a rural setting. It was also exciting to share plans for our building project and show the Senator our plans for the future."
